okay,,,, so i'm a newbie and in need of some help.
i just got my windows 7 update discyesterday for my m17 and just upgraded it.
After updating, my m17 seemed to work very slow but after 1-2 restarts it worked fine.
But , when i checked the Windows Experience Index ,,,,, it had rated my Intel® Core2 Extreme Processor X9100 just a mere 4.7and everything else was between 5.9 and 6.9,,,, but due to such a low processor score my base score was also 4.7,, ,,,,,, but before updating,, vista rated the processor much above 5.8,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, so, is this right ,,,,, or is there something wrong ,,,,, how can i fix it??????????????????????????

Windows Experience Index really means nothing when it comes to benching and gaming so dont bother with what the scores say. =]

I get 6.4 in the Windows experience index with that same processor;

Yeah who gives a squat about thier scoring as long as your computer is doing good with games and all. I'm running my X9100 at 3.3ghz all the time with no problems, awesome chip

I cant even get WEI to work in Win 7 at the moment, thats why my screen-shot above was from July. When I run it I get an error message saying something about a bad driver but device manager looks fine?.....this could be something to do with it....there was a thread about WEI not working properly in the RTM of Win 7 about a few days ago.....just search the archive.
This is nothing that service pack 1 would not fix.
good luck. -
just did the clean install ,,,,, all settings and programs are gone ,,,, the windows experience rating is finally above 6 ,,,,,,
BUTTTTTT,,,,,,, Win7 still sucks ,,,,,,,,,,, drivers are a pain in the ....... -
