When I hold down "W" & "E"... my spacebar doesnt work.

It's not an issue of 3 keys being used... it's JUST that combination from what I can tell.

Has anybody experienced this? It's really annoying since I cant turn move forward and jump at the same time in games... :\

I personally have never experienced that, unless I am holding more keys than just that.

I take it doesn't do the same with "w", "d", and space?

EDIT: I am aware that you said it's just that combination, just checking. Further to that, you may want to mention what product you are operating off. :)

    m17x-r1 notebook

    And yeah. W-D-Space works... but it's backwards... it's rotate-forward-jump.

I need strafe right-forward-jump to work.

I know I can rebind. But I've been playing FPS's and WoW with this config for years. And I'd rather not have to retrain myself around a malfunctioning keyboard.

That confused me immensely, I always used "D" strafe. None the less, I can't help obviously. I guess it comes down to other M17x owners seeing if they have the same issue. :/

Yeah. a lot of people script them differently. But I find having keyboard turn and strafe available makes navigating without having to use the mouse easier.

Guess I'll just switch them and suck it up.

being that w,a,s,d are primary keys, makers and programmers for drivers prob build inherent abilities for combos for these keys verses others...

not to be quoted for truth though... :)

this is the first keyboard i've ever run into that doesnt support it. Weird.

@ Ryujin: you make a good point.

    I'm use to using desktop gaming keyboards though. g15 v1 & g15 v2.

    waiiit...

no. that cant be the case... because W+Q+Space works... and it's just the opposite. So this is a fault.

If no one answers you soon as to whether or not their M17x does it, I will test it for you.

... in 3 weeks when it arrives. :/

Just keep the thread at the top and see what happens. :)

Bump. Does anybody else have this same problem?

My Space Bar doesnt work if I'm holding W+E at the same time.

Could it be a firmware issue maybe?

What version # is your keyboard controller BIOS. Access your BIOS on boot, the # should be on the first page. Verifity its the latest Keyboard Controller BIOS from myHive.
