If I order the laptop (m18x) from US store and go to Australia (Where I'm going to study). Will Dell AUS continue my warranty for my Alienware? Because I don't want to get the 3 years warranty for nothing.

Also, does the delivery of the Laptop bag comes with the system together? Or separate delivery?

Also, does anyone have a site that can deliver 16GB DDR3 1600HMz or 1800HMz internationally? because on what I've heard in this forum, it is cheaper to buy this separately than buying it off the website which is an additional of $600.

    no worries mate

the warranty is applicable...although you will need to change it once you get here (there's a webpage to transfer warranty)...secondly do a search this question has been asked and reliably answered by guys living in Oz and ordering from US

i am not entirely sure the M17XR3 would support 1600...(at least doesn't state specifically in the manual...as opposed to the M18X ..)

PS (when i was looking into ordering from the US this arvo, i was told 2 yrs is the minimum to activate international warranty....why not purchase 2 years atleast...it's an expensive investment...the xtra warranty can't hurt?)

oh...and no the Bags do not come as part of the deal......

apparently they are "3rd party" products and dell can't "throw them in/ do a special deal.""

    i know i tried with Dell.AU

    Hey mate.

I'm buying a M18x. Also can you give me that link for transfer of warranty.

Also I made I mistake about the laptop backpack. What I meant was the delivery. Does it ship with the system or separate?

Afaik (and I've tried) you can't order directly from the US Store if you're not in the US (I'm in NZ). It won't accept your delivery address amongst other things. Best bet is to buy from a customizer\reseller. They'll also be able to get you your RAM at US prices as well.
