It covers me anywhere in the world against stuff like accidental damage like spills, drops etc. and it covers theft as well.
I the "business" plan for almost $4000 in global coverage for less than $200 a year. You can get coverage starting at around $70 a year.
Not all home owners policies cover the full amount or globally. -
Huh.Anyways I wish you well mate.
Thing is (and that's me) I want to buy a well engineered, kick , awesome and reliable lappie from Alienware in two years time. You guys have the talent and technology. You have been where others are scared to tread.
Please bring all your combined talents together and kick . And work together as a team that recognises the true potential that you already posess
Heck, I fight hard for Acer. My supposedly cheap lappie has had amazing endurance and reliability thus far in my use/hands. Love it and is as I type on it here I am thinking of my next step. And next lappie. In two years time.
I am already fighting for Alienware. Even though I don't own one. Yet.
Get your act together Alienware guys. I want one when you have got it all sorted.
Cheers and remember me

I've said it many times before that Consumer Reports does not support extended warranties. They maintain that problems that will occur will do so during the normal warranty period. And that few problems occur past the first year with modern electronics.
In addition, many companies warranties are riddled with fine print (reasons you're not covered), and that repairs can be contracted with outside sources, which can result in less than satisfactory results.
You should also keep in mind that extended warranties result in a 100% profit for companies that offer them. CR says, save that money and use it for any repairs you may need. -
I think Alienware can do that. I love Alienware, I buy Alienware, but I think their support is questionably lacking and their representatives can be very... poor. Nothing against the Alienware reps on the forums (they seem great in all instances they come out to talk), but I've just had a lot of problems with the people on the phone. -

Pay the court registration fee, get your affairs in order, then inform Dell that you registered for Small Claims and make the appointment to plead your case. Give Dell the option to settle this, and if not, you'll see them in court. Have your case number handy and give it to Dell when you call. Be sure and ask to be escalated to a manager first.
Religion won't fix a laptop. Lawsuits will. Make that 20% jump up to 21%. Small Claims Court is your friend. -

Refunds of this nature are like a game of chess. You've played your pawns, Dell's played theirs. Now it's time to bring out the heavier linebackers and steam roll them.
Oh, and mentioning Consumerist, you may also want to relay your story to them ( www.consumerist.com). Maybe they'll publish it, and in doing so, lend a hand in getting your repairs/replacements in line.
* As long you have enough evidence to back up your claim. -
I would go for the 2 or 3 year warrintee. I seen a few people who had a one year warrintee and few days later the computer crash and they eather need to buy a new laptop or see if they can buy the part online or from the company.

I just bought the additional 2 year warranty.
IMPORTANT: Make sure you get the warranty over the phone, not through the email link that is sent a month before the warranty expires.
Following the email link, I was given a price of 200 GBP on the website. However, I called them up, and they gave it to me at 158 Eur
Is Alienware Warranty and Support a Joke?
