Hello, well I recieved my new m15x, and I installed all the updates, and some games. Well when I went to play Crysis I couldn't even play the game on Low at 1024 x 768. It would lag so bad. I was under the impression that this laptop will run Crysis decent. Here is what I got with the laptop.
    GTX 260m
    i7 720
    1600 x 900 Screen
    4 GB DDR3 1066.

Did I not update a driver? If I need to where do I go? Whats going on? Thanks in advance.

yeah you've got the right impression, you should be able to play crysis on high at 1600x900 and get at least 25-30fps with that setup

something is definitely wrong.. try downloading gpuz and make sure everything looks normal

I had similar problem with my M17x, and it turned out to be driver's problem. Use 3dmarks vantage to see if the benchmark score is around the same as shipped (there should be a "My Alienware PC Information" on desktop when arriving).
Use Driver Sweeper and reinstall Nvidia driver if the graphic score (and feature test) it too low.

    Hi Tsukasu,
First of all, I would check to make sure that you don't have stealth mode enabled. Also, makes sure you power scheme is set to "high performance."

    Thanks,
    Gabe

    Scary posting rate, right? :)

Tsukasu, I think you're one of the few to get the 1600x900 LED model. Could you identify the panel being used under device manager?

As noted, make sure you are not in Stealth mode. When I got my M17x to review, it had Stealth mode enabled by default. It was an odd configuration choice by Alienware.

Well thanks everyone for the responses, and let me start off saying that this is my first laptop I've had. I've always been a desktop person, but now I'm in the military so I need a portable PC. This is the first time I touched an Alienware, and yes.....I had Stealth Mode on..... Turned it off, and now it runs perfectly. Also where do I check that in Device Manager.

When you open up the command center, it will show you [Device is operating in Stealth Mode]. It won't show in device manager I don't think.
