Is anyone using a docking station or port replicator with the M17x? If so which one?

Is anyone using a docking station or port replicator with their M17x? When i've got the M17x at my desk i'd like to attach it to a big monitor, keyboard, mouse, speakers and ethernet cable but i'm wondering if anyone can recommend a good docking station or port replicator? Also if i attach all these things to a docking station or port replicator will it cause any lag when playing games for example? Is it better to attach everything directly to the laptop?

well a 24 inch monitor is better then 17 inch. External keyboard is more comfortable then a laptop one so is as mouse, plus external speakers are a lot better then the speakers built into the laptop.

I don't think it's possible..most laptops have a port at the bottom designed for this I think, I don't see that with the M17x.

The Logitech Alto is something you might want to look at. You can't plug a monitor into it but I think it will do mic/sound and it has a few USB ports on it. Doesn't power the laptop though, it's more designed as a stand for them so the monitor is more at eye level.

The M17x is 'ok' on the Alto. I have the Logitech Alto Cordless. Originally used with my XPS M1730, the M17x will fit on it without any issues. It is sturdy and provides unobstructed airflow to the intakes.

The only issue I have with this particular stand is the front end of the laptop is not fully supported by the stand. Reason being of course is the curved front end of the M17x. It will move a bit if you apply pressure to one side of the chassis (i.e. inserting a USB device). With the exception of this issue, the stand is rock solid and I would normally suggest it (for any other model). Considering its about 90 bucks, I'd skip it unless you are ok with the range of side to side movement resulting from the curved front edge of the M17x.

As an alternative, I'm considering this one:
