I bought my M17x - R1 from Microcenter in August. I got the standard 1 year warranty with it for Dell. If I were to call them and list some problems ( Stuttering, etc...) would it be possible to get a equivalent R2 machine?

There have been numerous posts on this matter. If you are having issues with your system, call Dell Support and dicuss them. Dell will provide you with options.
