I found this http://mivasecure.abac.com/rjtech/m...e=R&Product_Code=WL-I5300&Category_Code=OTHER and was wondering if it would be possible to put it in my M17x. I'd much rather have a 5300.

Yes.
It will work fine. -
To see how to access it refer to the CPU guide

Out of curiosity... what does that card give you over the one that comes with the M17x?
Are you just wanting Intel over Broadcom? -
The op is having issues with the broadcom.
-
The 5300 has much better battery performance than the Broadcom chips as well.
-
provantage sells them a bit cheaper.

make sure you get the half height version, the intel 5300 comes in both. And would it be an issue that you would only be occupying 2 of the 3 leads on the intel 5300 as there are only 2 wires at the wireless card in the M17x?
unless I am mistaken, the full height card is the bluetooth and the half height one is the wifi
Is it possible to replace the wifi card in M17x with Intel 5300?
