    Out of curiosity... what does that card give you over the one that comes with the M17x?

    Are you just wanting Intel over Broadcom?

    The 5300 has much better battery performance than the Broadcom chips as well.

    make sure you get the half height version, the intel 5300 comes in both. And would it be an issue that you would only be occupying 2 of the 3 leads on the intel 5300 as there are only 2 wires at the wireless card in the M17x?

    unless I am mistaken, the full height card is the bluetooth and the half height one is the wifi
