Classmate of mine wants to order the m11x and replace the su7300 with the su9400. Chips look pretty identical except the the .5 extra multiplier making it 1.4ghz compared to 1.3ghz. He wants me to install the chip like how I installed the t9900 on my m17x. Would this be the same process and just as easy? Will it also overclock the same into a higher speed then 1.73ghz?

The CPU is soldered. Upgrading it after the fact is a no-go.

Well that kinda sucks. I hate soldered chips. So ruins my fun. I do really like what they are trying to do with the m11x tho
