    Is there a 8800GTS for AW laptop?

    Is there a 8800GTS for the M9750,M15x or M17x laptop? If so can it be SLI and what's the total difference in performance between the 8800GTX.

    there is supposed to be. its a supported piece on the m15x. its listed as a laptop that has the card by Nvidia. AW may not be selling it right now or ever, but if you had one, you could install it into the m15x and it would work. would void warranty though.

    Oh hmm that would very interesting actually. I haven't given it much thought, but if the 8800GTS is MXM 3 or whatever the M9750 is. Owners of a single 7950GTX could upgrade to the 8800GTS.

    There is no such card as Lithus said. The Gateway P series FX and HP HDX are the only laptops available with it.

    AlienContact- No, Yes, and the GTS is slower.

    Stone- have you seen anywhere saying whether this card is MXM 3 or 4 or MXM 3 HE?

    Heliosvector- only changing the CPU or mobo voids the complete warranty. They will not fix issues with your parts, but they still support the rest of the system.

    I would double check before actually doing it, but i believe as long as you contact AW it does not void it.

    They probably would prefer you did not, however.
    And where else would you get a GPU for it anyway?

    I just talked to online support and when i asked about the 8800GTS they said that they currently have no stock of it (like they ever did). He never said it doesnt have it or it doesnt take it. I was then told to check back daily to see if the configuration option was available. (this was asked last wednesday)
