Hey there how is everyone doing?

I tried doing a search but couldn't find anything. I'm still kind of new to this forum so please forgive me if I overlooked it!

I have an m15x and made the mistake of taking it outside without a good case for it and now there is a fairly large sized scuff on the top where the silver has scraped off and I can see the lighting through. It is such an eye sore and I am devastated! I was wondering if anybody out there had any ideas about how I might be able to go about fixing this? I know it is purely cosmetic and probably inevitable but it still really bothers me.

Thanks so much in advance for any help or advice!

Thank you. I saw those but they are not guaranteed to be mint without any marks themselves so instead of going through all of that I was wondering if maybe there was something else I may be able to do to mask or blend it to make it less noticable. I am keeping that in mind though as a last resort.

    Ask the seller.

Soviet Sunrise: How would I go about doing that? All of the paint or coating or whatever it is is gone in some areas to the point where you could see the lighting through. I would think it would need some sort of model paint or something to fill it in but I am not sure?

Thank you again sleey0! If I do not find another way to be able to just live with it, that will most likely be what I will do.

Wow, that much paint came off? I withdraw my suggestion then. It would be better to buy another top like the one sleey0 mentioned.

I consider scuffs, dings, and scratches to be battle scars. All materalistic people live with it. For example, when I got my new bass, the first thing I did with it was ear tune it and jammed hard with my buddies so I can wear it in for the first time. The feeling of having fun with your stuff when you get your first "blemish" is far less painful that babying your stuff and suddenly getting your first scratch. Though that doesn't mean we shouldn't baby our possessions, rather we should just use them as they are meant to be used.

I use a sharpie for touch-ups (not an exact match, but they come in a wide range of colors), but you might try model paint. You can thin it a bit and blend it into the surrounding area, but practice first and then put a small drop of paint in a hidden area to make sure it won't damage the plastic.

Perhaps you can show us some pictures of the problem, and that way we can have a better idea for a solution.
