I came up with this build costing $1854. tax and all.. good deal? also can it play battlefield bad company 2 without a lag ever?

    M15x Black.
    -Proccessor i7 720qm
    -1GB ATI Radeon™ Mobility HD 5730
    -15.6-inch WideFHD 1920x1080 (1080p) WLED
    -6GB DDR3 at 1066MHz
    -also the 1year advanced warrenty..

would i notice a difference playing games if i had the ati 5850 instead?

The difference between the 5730 and 5850 is very large - almost a factor of two - and you would definitely notice it in BFBC2

i would get the 5850, no doubt about it, if gaming is a concern.

Just drop it to basic warranty and upgrade to advanced / complete later on when you have the money! :D
Or you can always drop the resolution to 900p. I had 1080 on my M15x but with 260M GTX, it couldn't run BC2 at high setting smoothly. So I had to drop a resolution or two. Another option is to drop the 6GB ram to 4GB. You won't see much of a difference between 4 and 6 in games.

In addition to the warranty setting and the 4GB of RAM downgrade, downgrading the CPU in order to upgrade the video card would also be a good idea.

well thats the thing.. the only thing i can change is the service plan because this is a special offer only. So i can upgrade later to a 1year warrenty? how much do you think it will cost

I was just in the same situation as you. I was lacking $80 so I told my rep to drop my warranty back to basic. They told me they cannot do this as this bundle deal was part of it. I pretty much told them forget the deal, I'm going to order Asus G73 for half the price (of course it was a threat) and they put me on hold for 15 mins or so and came back with $200 dropped on the total price. O_O. I made sure if it was possible to upgrade to complete care and they assured me that can be done so I told them to process the order. Go out strong and they'll give in soon or later.

but do you know how much it will be to upgrade?.. also i was on the chat-room with a sales rep i guess you can call her and i told her about my situation and she said if i went and upgraded later to the advanced id have to wait for the basic plan to run out before the advance has takn affect.. so i said "if my alienware m15x happens to get water inside of it the day i get it will i have to wait a year for my basic plan to run out and the advanced to take affect for them to fix it?" she said YES.. soo that just makes no since because im paying for the advanced.. also ive been trying to see if this is true with a sales rep by phone but ive been waiting for 30min on hold.. im tired of being on hold

No what she told you was complete BS. Upgrading warranty takes action right way. I have gotten a mail and a phone call from DELL if I wanted to upgrade to Complete Care or extend my current warranty which was Advanced. The price came out to be $350 for 3 EXTRA year for advance care. This also includes $75 dollar coupon from DELL. So I'm guessing it won't be much compared to what the website has it for. I still have the mail from them which expires at end of June so I'm going to extend by then. I would share but it's a one time use! :(

It was said on the mail that they gave me. Upgrade and receive $75 coupon. So I'm guessing I need to upgrade the warranty and they'll send me a code for the $75. DO NOT DO IT BY SITE! DO IT BY PHONE! I just saved about 18%. It takes a while to get the right rep to help you depending on your luck but you can really save some money. Just don't give in, keep pushing them and go out strong when you have to. You have nothing to lose! :D Also check this thread out! http://forum.notebookreview.com/ali.../456885-aw-dell-ordering-advice-how-save.html
