My wife told me to get a new laptop. And she expected me to go to Alienware since she spent two hours trying to get one before she figured that she knows nothing about gaming hardware and told me to order what I wanted.
I ordered it on 7-10. 32 hours later, my Sager {almost 5 years old...hence the need for a new laptop} decided to die a horrible screaming and agonizing death......well the horrible screaming WAS me. Come to think of it, so was the agonizing. I swear the dang thing was jealous!
I called on Tuesday, bright and early, hoping to upgrade to next day delivery and reduce my downtime. Using an old Toshiba rebuilt at the turn of the century {internet and CD drive and the USB ports are dead} was becoming a drag.
I was told that they could not change the order but that a request for rush service would be put in. Thinking I was being handed a line of BS, I consoled myself with trying to play a 25 year old game on a 15 year old computer.
It came today. Less than a week after I ordered it and the first day was Sunday. That is a level of customer care I have not seen in decades. Impressed would be an understatement. So would saying I was pleased.
I just loaded Fallout 4 and ran it at 1080p with Ultra settings except for Shadows and Godrays medium. It ran 60fps. Far better than I was expecting with a 970m.
It also runs 2-4 degrees cooler {outside temp, I haven't loaded an internal thermometer yet} than the Sager.

This is the main Alienware forum, essentially for more generic discussions that are not model-specific. There are model-specific sub-forums that are more appropriate.
Can you clarify what arrived? It's not clear what you purchased in the original post or the thread title.Spartan@HIDevolution, deadsmiley, Ashtrix and 1 other person like this.
It ARRIVED!
