What would be very cool is if they make chat tech support for alienware systems. Most of us bought XPS support with our systems and chat is part of it. However, when trying to access tech support over chat with alienware service tag the system tells you that chat support for AW is not available.
I have reported this issue to Dell reps on this forum and they say they are looking into it.
Last update I got from Brian was that it looks like chat department will become available soon. The more ppl ask for it the faster we get it is how I see it.

honestly, the longest I've waited for phone support is ~ 10minuites, that's just calling the 1800 number and not the special number for compelte care.

We need a chat support that is correct, I can't call them every *censored* second for any issue or question.

    Agreed!
while i agree that waiting times for the phone call are good i still find chat much much more convenient.
Also, when i was buying the system i specifically asked if there's a chat support for AW systems and of course was told that there is one as part of the XPS warranty that we're getting.

yeah I can understand that, chat just seems more convient, maybe it's just because we're more used to it. I know when I had my R1 I noticed there wasen't any chat, but I've gotten used to tech phone support, and I have 2-3 good contacts because of it now too.

I was kind of surprised that Belgium also has this chat system, so ofcourse I asked one of the questions people in Belgium would like to know the most.
By law we have 2 years of warranty on any electronical product while dell offers 1 year.
Since its not allowed to post the conversation, here's a sum up: Basicly I got told (in the worst grammar and vocabulary you can possibly imagine) that the frabrication warranty is 2 years, and the normal warranty is only 1 year (no idea what the difference is, the information salesmen didn't know either by the looks of her vague description). Ofcourse this is no helpfull answer at all and when I asked how they would decide wether my machine would be still under warranty if something would happen to it in the second year I got told she didn't know and that the 'dell technicians' would decide that (no need to guess whose side they will chose).

Maybe its nice info channel to ask information about available laptop colours but for now i'll just stick with NBR forums for all my questions.
