I think that these opinions are obviously valid, but I think the priority now (and with this thread) is to collect evidence and reports from owners (and buyers) that have problems with their machines, to expose this situation! I'm sure that this will make AW take action and assume responsability/compensate people for what is (and I quote) a laptop beta testing!

If I'm gonna spend this much money on a laptop, I want superior service as well but there are a lot accusations that make things sounds worse than they probably are. We really need to hear from the people that get the "factory corrected" m15x. -
I see it is out there already:

I really have to take my hats off to you guys.

After careful consideration, I have re-opened this thread. In the future, avoid trifling conversation because I had to remove a large portion of this thread. If you were personally involved in that portion, you may send me a private message for an explanation.
That said, please continue the conversation.
Edit: Congratulations for getting on Engadget.

Whatever you guys sent was well-written based on the way they paraphrased your response. -
Happy to see it's already out there...
I still think owners should keep putting pressure on AW, not only for a solution for the Downclocking problem, but also for better CS, end of restocking fees (specially when you are returning a defective laptop), to expose the fact that users in Europe paid 2 months in advance to get their laptops (And were constantly lied to) and basically, for AW to assume their mistakes and fix them, thus making it a much better brand! -
Thanks Chaz,What i believe is correct is that the next step should be a letter with numbers, this means %of ppl using 8800 GTX with heat/underclock problems and benchmarks, this letter should also include AW's reaction as far today, not admiting that theres still problem and more importand not providing a proper solution,if there is one...
Edit: I also think now we need to give AW some time(and i dont mean sth more than few days, they had plenty of time all these months taking orders) to see if theres a reaction, they need to understand that all we want is get what they advertise noth more noth less,if theres no movement at all or they try use the same tactic as before then the pressure must continue. -

Good afternoon,
Just wanted to let you guys know that we are paying attention and our product group has made resolving the downclocking issue a priority. I have been told we are working on a BIOS update among other possible solutions. I'm repeating myself here, but we appreciate any information you guys can give us about your experiences by e-mailing us at [email protected]. If its not too much trouble, please post your continuing downclocking issues in the following thread:

Thanks for clearing up the issue, AW-Steve.

Thanks AW-Steve....maybe the product group can add +2 to the 200 point test, (1) install furmark and record heat & check for downclock, (2) install Crysis and record heat & check for downclock...if either fail, then back to the drawing board...
FYI-I'm still going to buy the m15x with the 8800gtx, because I feel AW will make things right =)

It's time for AW to hear "OUR" voice again!
