    Yes it has arrived!

    Unfortunately or fortunately??? I cannot test or even look at it!

    As posted before, today is my birthday and my wife suprised me when I woke up this morning with tickets to Las Vegas!!!!!!!

    I am now currently sitting in the concourse waiting for our flight at Ohare Airport using my IBM T42!

    So my kids called to let me know that FedEx has delivered my laptop and will be waiting for me when I get home!!

    What happens in Vegas, Stays in Vegas!

    vegas is quite amazing, even moreso when you're an adult over 21 and you can go to all the hotter places ;)

    i'm sure we're all eagerly awaiting your full report when you're back home and available to make it.

    lol, well it's pretty true. it only gets better as you age, i imagine.
    i've been there three times. once at 14 with my parents; we stayed in the venetian for a week in a half. i was bored mostly, but enjoyed the pretty sights and the awesome hotel suite & accompanying hotel (THEY HAVE A FREAKING MALL INSIDE THE HOTEL!?!!)
    once at 16 with parents and other relatives, which was a bit more fun because we youngsters were allowed to roam about. circus circus was kind of fun, but kiddish.
    and finally once at 17 with just friends of a varied age group. like i said, my 21-year old friends had sooo much fun. boy, the stories they'd tell coming back to the hotel :rolleyes:

    If there were not a chance for potential issues of the M15X I would have told them to go ahead and fire it up, but I do not want them to take a chance and find a problem and think they did it.

    Besides, they are home with the keys to my Jeep Rubicon, and I left them a credit card, so I think at 14 and 17 that is enough???? :D

    That's a really nice surprise! The closest I've been to a place like Las Vegas is Atlantic City, which is a sweet place in its' own, then again I'm under legal gambling age ;). When you get home you'll have your m15x waiting for you, something to look forward to all trip long. BTW, happy birthday!

    vegas baby! i was there when i was like 10... i distinctly remember our parents going like "we're gonna have a tour of the city" so we go outside the hotel and walk towards our rented minivan and this chauffeur comes out and says "that's not our ride... THIS is our ride!" and he points to this sweetass black limo... :cool:

    i also seem to remember giving my dad my pocket money and he'd go into the casinos and gamble for me... :D i actually won like 20 quarters at the slot machine... but lost them straightaway... damn roulette ;)

    Hope Vegas is amazing (which it will be). And I hope your M15x is the icing on the cake when you get back. I can't believe you left your kids with a credit card!!! I hope you put a max limit on there, and that you have an itemized bill every month! :p

    Wow, there's an Eiffel Tower in Vegas? I liked the giant PSP on the side of the building. Did it play anything on it? Was it like a giant TV?

    Hey Jeep could you maybe do some stress tests and see how high your temps get. Like Prime95 two thread cpu test for cpu temps and then something like ATITool and check for artifacts for 10 minutes and see how high your GPU temps get?

    In a way that's one of the best birthdays a guy could ask for: Surprise tickets to Vegas and an Alienware notebook :D
