Just out of curious, P8400 is not a dual core? Or he's saying dual GPU?

    Thanks for the quick reply.

Does anyone know of any overheating issues? I have heard of some of the previous laptops having this problem.

I ordered my 2nd M17 on Sunday, and it's on Phase 6 as of yesterday. So if things go as I expect, I'll probably ship out Thursday or Friday.

with that kind of limitations of funds, you might've been better off going with a different brand w/ better options for that much money. going with alienware for that much, you're pretty much just paying for the boutique brand name.

Just an opinion, but having the second 3870 in Xfire is pretty much required to make this system worth the price. Without it, it's a pretty poor gaming rig.

The processor does not matter as much for gaming as the dual 3870's would have. If possible, I highly recommend you try to go for the duals.

any idea how the same specs would fare against one with a 9800m gts instead of the 3870?

Stage 6. They said to ship to oregon that it would take two days. Looks like there ahead of schedule.

I've been sitting at Stage 6 for 3 days now, so I'm guessing they're flying on making them, but dragging on the software installation side of things.

Don't pay too much attn to the phases. It's very buggy and inaccurate. I've been at 8 for a week, even though CS tells me it shipped a week ago with no tracking number heh. They're a bit confused.
