Okay, I got my M17x this morning specs as follow's

    Space Black

    Core 2 duo T9600 2.8ghz
    4GB 1333 ram
    SLI 280
    x2 320gb raid 0
    etc

Now there's probably a whole slew of things to do cause just tried the preinstalled wow etc and it had horrid frame rates prob need to update drives etc , I did disable the 9400m and checked in display settings that it was using the 280. but nevertheless it was getting the same or worse than my 7 year old desktop with a P4 and AGP video card. (haha will remedy soon with drivers)

Anyway My question comes here, the Bios show's the cpu with a 11x Multiplier. So 1066/4 =266.5x11 = 2.93ghz?? the cpu should have a 10.5X multiplier to reach 2.8ghz but instead it has a 11? CPU show's up as a T9600 in windows etc and when I just upped the fsb to 1100 boots etc but still reports 2.8ghz.

    Thanks,

Hey moo you had any luck with the new 190 drivers? thinking of getting thouse vs the beta one's in your thread. But As far as the CPU goes shouldn't it be @ 10.5x? Instead of 11?

    Thanks,

Check your 9400M again in the bios. It will re-enable itself if you accidentally go into stealth mode or unplug your system from AC.

Can you provide a screen shot of CPU-Z and a pic of the bios?

Hum.. I had hybrid disabled in the bios from factory was runing on the 9400m till I disabled it from the bios forcing it to the 280m. I'll go ahead and check what's up it's strange that the cpu has 11x multiplier... for a t9600. lols

Question where can I check to see if the pc is runing in lower power mode (stealth mode) or runing in high performance and also the ability to choose what graphics card it uses (I assume hybrid mode)

I'm at the office right now I will post up the screen shots everything soon as I get home in the next couple of hours. I'm dying to know what's up with it as well.
