    Just made my m15x bla.. no - White!

    This thread relates to the original thread by Cha;
    "Just made my M15x black, by "cha"

    As I'm working in Hong Kong, I took a small vacation and went to the Phillies, and did my M15x white in the same GMask branch at Greenbelt 1 in Manila.

    The result?

    Creaking - 90% gone.
    Wobbliness - 90% gone.​

    It feels very nice now. Feels more solid and I'm not as worried about any hingeproblems! (Hey - I'm aware of the problem so I always take it easy anyway, but still...)

    So now it's more protected AND, IMHO, looks much better and definetly more personalized.

    Ps. I've put the luminance down of the LED-colors to 10. So the LED colors should be low luminance - nothing to do with the skin. (I did this using Findvikas AlienColorFX).

    Options
    If you go there you have a ton of options. Clear colours no problem. Some pattern were also available. Transparent also an options. I did 1 layer of white and then 1 layer of additional transparent to protect the white, and then ADDITIONAL one layer around the screen area.

    You didn't let them do the touch pad area as well? But overall looks great my friend. I'm glad you were able to make it work with Gmask, congratulations :D

    It's not paint, it's a vinyl wrap. The great thing about it is if you get tired of the color, you can always let them remove it. It leaves no residue.

    BTW doesn't ZAGG do something similar with their Invisible Shield? Has anyone tried sending their notebook (m15x or otherwise) in to get it done by ZAGG?

    I'm going back to Malaysia in a few days. And they have a branch there. I am so tempted to give this a try. Hell, I think I will! I wonder if they can do it on a Skullcap though.

    Budgets tight, but I'll do anything to protect my baby. I'll probably go with a similar config, white then transparent on top. Unless it's too expensive, then maybe just a white coat. Though I'd be worried about that getting dirty. Do you think they could manage with the Skullcap though?

    And if there's two things I'll be doing in KL, it's this and then clubbing ;)

    Just got an email back from GMASK, and they have no problem accepting orders shipped to them. Very nice support staff that are prepared to work with you if you email them. When I get my m15x/m17x I'll be shipping it to Las Vegas :).

    I'd love to get a custom design put across the front of my M17. Problem is they only appear to be available in the Phillipines. Sucks that you can't get the skin delivered and apply it yourself.
