2 weeks wait?! Consider yourself lucky. I got a one month EDD the very same day I ordered mine. I am still "In Production"

    Anyway, enjoy the laptop

I find it crazy to bring anything larger than 16inch to school, yes it will turn heads but probably for the wrong reasons. I was almost gonna buy the g73 but many poly friends told me 17inch is too much and i will end up regretting, in the end i got a 15.6inch Sager laptop. Thing is, m17x is thicker and heavier than the g73 still. But no one will stop you from bringing it in.

if you carry by your hand of course it looks atrocious and make yourself look like some nerd ... use carrying case or backpack instead

think that funan targus shop has bags for all laptop sizes except 18 inches...
    mine is...metro....um...forget...haha

but i know that targus wanderer backpack is the only one that you can get in singapore specially for m17x due to its sheer size and thickness compare to other 17 inches....

i bring my 8662 to school myself , daily . we as owner of exotic laptops have own bragging rights , who cares people said my laptop look like 1980s junk while others have bling bling sony laptop , power rules ... ;)

im using a dicota bagpack. cant remember what series, i think its the explorer XL or something.. i remember i had a hard time trying to get a bagpack that would fit without having to order online.

i dont ever carry it in my hands and only take it out when im in places where there arent many other people eg: during class or in an empty com lab during long breaks.

reason i bring it is mainly because of the insanely lame long breaks(4 hours) in which i do some gaming.

i also dont take out my laptop in foodcourts unless absolutely necessary so no one would go wa bring so big laptop for what.

even if they do, who cares? :D after they say bring so big laptop for what they will go wa so cool got lights all over :p

Cool cool. Once i get into poly, i'll see how things go.

If i get long breaks, as u do, i'll probably bring my monster along :D

Sian indeed... everything in singapore = overpriced... bought this crap Dv5t for $2500 SGD when worth 1500 at most... rip off... Now when i live in UK , still no different... M17x is like 1k USD more here then in US... europe and singapore are not places to buy tech... Thank god for ebay but even now , for Asus G73 , it about 1800 pounds to buy in UK and about 1300 to buy from US retailer... that's 1k more SGD... Sian... but luckily still got 151 days to buy when results come out... still waiting very sian... and life very suck with Dv5t... sorry for the ranting...
