Well after waiting for months for a Apple to release a MBP, I gave up (2-3 hours daily on Mac forums is/was painful)

I thought about why I wanted apple, the Alienware hardware and aesthetic wise, and looked at what I had PC software wise, and it wasn't logical to switch...

The idea of getting a TB in a laptop is awesome Fyi...

Got the standard stuff plus 8800 gtx, and 2.5cpu, 1440 res.

I'm going to order 2 500gb HDDs(one for smartbay) and 4gb Ram on Newegg when the delivery date nears...as well as install vista 64 maybe...

I'm going for storage, college laptop, and the occasional gaming experience, if you hadn't noticed.

    Now my questions!!!

    1. How hard is it to replace the Hard Drive?

    2. How much is the Smart Bay Battery, and Smart Bay hdd cage?

    3. What does the express card remote do? I'm hoping it can turn off my computer from across the room...

Battery cost me $79. Not sure about the cage I just grabbed a 120gb smartbay drive from em for $80. My total order was like $170.00. Newegg has 120gb laptop hd's for like $50, so I'd guess the cage itself is in the 20-30 dollar range. Someone here knows for sure though. The smartbay case itself is the way to go. 500gb hd + cage through alienware was quoted to me at $279.00, and I've seen 500gb laptop hd's for $150.

It should be just a matter of swapping as far as the HDD is concerned. Not very difficult.
