I chose to finance, when/how will I know that I've been approved? I did not get any e-mail indicating that I was denied, however, I do have to call Alienware to apply for financing. The confirmation e-mail also indicated that I was to receive my approval within 7 days. So, I did get approved right?

It was either this or a Dell XPS at $2,200, but it only had an 8600M GT. I figured that the extra $500 was nothing comapred to the performance gain with the M15x.

Anyways, it all came up to $2,700 (CDN). Specs are as follows:

Design & Display: Silver Ripley Design
    Display: 15.4" WideXGA+ 1440 x 900 LCD (720p) with Clearview Technology
System Lighting: Alienware® AlienFX® System Lighting - Blue
    Video/Graphics Card: NVIDIA® GeForce® Series - 512MB NVIDIA® GeForce® 9800M GT
    Processor: Intel® Core™ 2 Duo T9300 2.5GHz (6MB Cache 800MHz FSB)
Operating System (Office software not included): Windows Vista® Home Premium (64-bit Edition) with Service Pack 1 Memory: 1GB Dual Channel DDR2 SO-DIMM at 667MHz – 2 x 512MB -- Will upgrade to 4GB myself
System Drive: 320GB 7,200RPM (16MB Cache) w/ Free Fall Protection
Optical Drives: 8x Dual Layer Burner (DVD±RW, CD-RW)
    Wireless: Internal Intel® Wireless 4965 a/b/g/Draft-N Mini-Card
Sound Card: Internal High-Definition Audio with surround sound
Keyboard Options: AlienFX® Illuminated Keyboard – Exclusive Design
AlienRespawn: AlienRespawn v2.0 Recovery DVD – Windows Vista® Edition

Welcome to the family! If you were already initially approved when you signed up for the financing, then you should be approved already.

I actually cancelled two previous Dell XPS orders, and they actually required me to fax/scan my two pieces of ID and a major bill for security/validation reasons. I would imagine this would be a similar case.

Does this mean that I was not approved? Or do they require some extra information?

I didn't have to send any extra information when I signed up for financing. All it ever required were the information that I gave to them when I first initially signed up for it. I didn't need to send any form of ID or bill to verify myself.

Did you have to call them after you went through the checkout? Because in my confirm. Email, it indicates that I have to phone in for further intructions.

Not even. I didn't need to. I'm not quite sure if they changed the procedure though.

    the order page.

there is no constantly updating ETA... unless they changed it from when I ordered.
