    Guys,

Having some really wierd compatibility issues...

Running Vista64 Ultimate on my M17x, everything was working fine. Installed the latest version of Kaspersky Antivirus and OSD quit working, AlienFX randomly crashes, etc.

Uninstalling KAV didn't fix the issue... had to restore from an image. Everything is back to normal. Tried reinstalling KAV again and chaos resumed.

It appears that KAV doesn't play nice with the Alienware custom stuff. I even set it to ignore everything in the Alienware and OSD folders which didn't make any difference.

Is anyone successfully running KAV on the M17x? Or, is there an alternate antivirus that works without these strange interactions.

This issue kindof threw me for a loop... I wasn't expecting installing antivirus to break EVERYTHING.

    Any ideas... recommendations?
