So, I just got my new M17x in the mail... and I'm 75% sure the keyboard lit up when I first turned the machine on, but once I logged in, the colors changed to the color I chose when I ordered, and suddenly the keyboard went colorless. I went into AlienFX and tried to click on the keyboard light sections and it wouldn't let me.. There were no sections to be clicked on the picture of the computer.

Anyone have any idea why this might be?

Sounds like the same problem I had. Try re-connecting the keyboard and see if that works, it might've moved during shipment. If that doesnt work Dell might have to ship you a new keyboard. And if that doesn't work...then your like me and have to wait for a new system to be sent out to you, or they can replace the motherboard, they give you the choice.

Are any of your lights on? I know their software is really buggy..

Did you try the FX program in the applications thread?

there are times that the command center doesn't load certain parts of it self.. Its kinda like it doesn't exists and other times it does.

It's working now... I hit F10 to restore the AlienRespawn thing or whatever.. It restored the computer to factory settings and now everything is working just fine. Installing Crysis as we speak!
