    LCD TV help plz

    I'm new to Vista. I recently bought an m15x. I want to hook it up to my LCD TV. But I cant trouble shoot the problem because everytime I plug the TV into the HDMI port the monitor on my laptop shuts off leaving me helpless and unable to fix the problem. I've scoured Vista and can't for the life of me find an option to keep the monitor on while connected. I've also looked in the Nvidia card options to no avail. I've tried fn with the HDMI/LCD button and got nothing. I've tried the Microsoft media button and still nothing. Anyone have any suggestions.

    right-click on your desktop and select "setup" (not sure if this is what it's called in english, the bottom-most thing) and then choose "display" at the bottom. i think you should be able to find the necessary settings there.

    or use the function key combination to switch between LCD and HDMI. I forget which specific F-key it's on.

    it looks pretty cool, but there's a smudge or something on the right side of the lid. the red alienhead on black does look smashing though.
