I was browsing through the Alienware website, and saw this little ad saying " Landfall is expected in Days. Sign up for the Insider to find out more . "
You get to see it when you click Latest News and Events.
Could it be the new m15x?![]()
-
Yea that's it ....
You can tell by the hinting
landfall = ship touch down
Alienware .... Yea you get it and it's September 1 ..... Right when universitys are getting back

-

-

Ummm why wouldn't it have a 280 option?
-

Wonder if it is the M15X all powerful or something else
-
nope thats it .....
i cant imagine what else
maybe im just excited but ... -
Would be great news if it is
Though I would most probably still stick with my old m15x. Performance wise, I doubt it would be that huge of an upgrade. I would love to have that aluminum chassis though
This would most probably be available worldwide, just like the M17x right? -
damn, now I want a new m15x but I can't afford it
-
yes and it will look like the M17x
Dell will handle it so discounts and all will be applicable -
wow....this could be the it.... I've opt in for the insider... has anyone heard/received anything yet?
-
you wont for a few days then it prolly will be a count down ... liek the last time ...
-
Its also on AW's Facebook Page. They have a hint (a picture) of the new website page there.
-
Heres the picture. Looks like at least 3 new products judging from the 3 alien heads lighting up. You can tell the one to the left is a Desktop and the middle a notebook.
-
With some good photo editing you can make out the outline of the M15x in the middle. The desktop on the left is barely visible, but I can't tell whats on the right side.

This was posted by Dell on FB
-
I wonder if they will announce the ATI cards at the same time.
-
Will the new M15x be sold by Dell as well?
How many days after the announced do they usually start becoming available for purchase? -
Yeah, Dell will sell the M15x.
When they launched these teasers for the M17x, it was about 2 weeks prior to the release date as I recall. -

zomg... should I cancel my M17x re-order?!
I've always thought the downside of M17x was the size =_= -
Btw... you guys think the starting price will be cheaper than M17x?
-
There is no product that's been released that would drive up the price more then a M17x.
It would probly be a single GPU only as well? -
Good old 1 GPU 1 HDD....
A single 260/280GTX w/ 9400m and a 320-500GB 7200rpm HDD would do the job nicely for me.
Full HD screen, aluminum chassis, a good price and I'm 100% bought.
*fingers crossed* -
Check here for more on M15x anticipated builds etc:

I reckon the one on the right is a desktop too. Maybe it's a lower end cheaper desktop.
But yea, that's definetely an M15x there. -
M15X will be my Christmas gift from me to me. So I will wait till after Win7 comes out before I order.
Makes me fill all warm and fuzzy inside thinking about it lol. -
OMG OMG OMG!!! Yay! I was just about to cave in and use half of my saved up money toward a vacation to NYC.......Man vacations are nice but being able to game again and go on a laptop I love takes the cake anyday. From the photoshopped looks it doesnt have the pointy edge on top and maybe it will have sidelights like the old M15x?
-
So .. M17x owners ... M15x for a "spare", or when you're arms need a rest?
Trelawney -
Why me?
My M17x is supposed to ship this week...... Guess I might exercise the 21 day return policy if AW/Dell hurries up and releases this thing. -
what i thought the desktops were coming in the holidays
i may get one of those desktops just for the case -
-
-
Huh I thought the current Alienware M15X already came with a Nvidia 280M GTX. Mine does !!!
God Bless
-
Say, I was wondering will the M15x be 15 inch or 17 inch screen wise ???
Sparky894 -
I am still hoping for an M16x
Seeing as how Dell already sells a 16" laptop and could have good screen options for it, why not?
:::Hides in corner in fear of 16:10 people:::: -
LMAO. 10char. -
I like how they used a crappy quality image this time so even after the photoshop we wouldn't get a full look at the machine.
Right away though you can tell it's not exactly a miniaturized version of the M17x....for one the black/non-aluminum part of the lid is a triangle that stretches the full length of the laptop. It sorta makes the laptop look kind of small. -
OMG
*facepalm* -
-
hey ! dont give up hope .....
MXM 3.0 is very new and even more so in a year when AW or clevo comes out with gt300 or ddr5 form card we can still use it -
Contrary to what people think , Dell has people who read on this forum and i am willing to bet because of us manipulateing the pictures last time ....
yea the desktop on the left doesn't look like AW desktop it looks like a xps -
-
When I can buy mobile GPUs at BestBuy or Newegg I'll base my notebook purchase on future upgrading. Until then I'll make sure the laptop I buy has the GPUs I want already installed and expect to keep them there for however long I own the machine.
-
-
lol who remember the G15 keyboard on the M17x LMAO
that desktop on the left isn't right ..... It looks just like a current XPS with a alienhead
They could be killing off the xps and just replaceing the front panel on the current ones with a alienhead. Dell said AW was going to take away all their gaming machines.....
BAH i wanna know whats on the right .... -
Nice. After I read the reviews (which will ALL state the M15x is the best laptop EVER, as they did with the m15x), and check in the forums for any retarded problem the computer may have (hinge, heating, etc), I'll make a decision and see if I can sell my M860TU for this one
I'd luv an aluminium chasis with lights everywhere.
