    I have a Cooler Master NotePal 3. It drops the temps by 8°C.

    Most of this benefit probably comes from elevating the back of the notebook. I use a set of coolfeet to elevate the laptop at work and when I go home and plop the laptop back down on the U3 it does not get any cooler then just using the feet unfortunately. Most of the cooling benefit is just from elevating the back of the laptop and giving it more access to cool air.

    I have a Deepcool N8 and it dropped my temps amazingly (at max load it runs 10C or more cooler). Most people on here are going to recommend the CM U3 and replace the fans, also a great option.

    I am using this as well in the past on my Alienware 18 as well as my newly aquired Alienware 15. I highly recommend it.

    I elevated the back with an aluminium engineering scale. Fits perfect with AW 13 R3 right in front of large rubber foot. 0 instability.

    This keeps the hot exhaust from entering back inside too. (this is great for the A17 R3)
