Yeah I know that, just wondering if people were to haggle the price down from website prices. Like the agent told me he can gave me $50 off of listed price. Has anyone got a better deal than just list price????

3% more if you have/use a Dell Preferred Account.
Then you look for stackable coupons.

 

i try to get a discount and they tellme there is no coupons for alienware only for free shiping and dell technicians get like 10% and students 10% i dont know how to get better price on alienware systems

just go to dell.com/epp. Use the menu to select the area you work in and that's it.

nope never have. My employer is part of the program but they never check. They may ask when you call but they don't verify it.

I got a 7% EPP. but I had a employer code to enter that shows up in the PO portion of my order.

My config cost a little over $5000 with the messenger bag.

 

I got the M15x standard set-up but a FREE GTX 260m upgrade GPU. all for $1499.99.

My budget was $1500 w/o tax

 

Someone said that with Dell you need to play the "patience game" and I found that's so true. The first Dell rep I talked to told me that "7% is what I could offer, you need to be quick to grab that amazing deal because it's running short" blah blah... OK #$&* him!!! The 2nd rep is a girl and it's a week later since the first time. She told me "hey boy there is no deal for you at the moment. Do you want to purchase it now for $2,770?". WT EFF I was in EPP link when I talked to her and she was looking into my cart OK then b**ch. Then I found a really nice guy. He talked patiently and politely and my price dropped amazingly from $2,770 to $2,467.75 inclusive everything! It's a even better deal than EPP 10%. So strategy here is call then hang up until you find your chosen one

By the way EPP is just how Dell call their discount. It doesn't matter if you are employee or employer or not. A nice rep won't be bother asking you about that.
