    Hello

Im one step away to place an order for m15x from Alienware UK website... Currently im a student in UK but going back home for summer and returning back in UK in September. Im leaving UK in 25 days, and the system building time im getting is 30 days so i decided to order and have SHIPped to home(Georgia, Eastern Europe) Im concerned about warranty, i tried to call alinware uk support but i didnt get the proper answer...

So, im Ordering on alienware.co.uk or choosing rest of the world and having the product delivered in Georgia, but in September(in 3 month) im returning in UK, i wanted to know how the warranty works in this case ? I know that if i stayed in Georgia i would have to pay shipping fees for repair service, but now, as i will be coming back to UK, will i get free shipping and warranty as all other customers who order in uk and get it delivered in UK ?

im trying to find out these for 2 days but alienware uk support tam just says they dont know so i decided to post here, maybe u guys had a similar case or smth and have an answer...

basiclly the question is if i get free shipping while im in UK, like all others who bought and got it delivered i UK... coz ive heard the systems are shipped from ireland to the rest of the world anyway...

    thanks

I think you should order your Alienware in the UK if you're going to be there most of the time so that if something goes wrong, you could just send it back to the UK support. I don't think that the warranty extends to other branches of Alienware and you may have to send it back the US based Alienware if you order it from Alienware US. I guess the bottom line is wherever you do order it from, that's where you're most likely going to have to return it. Could be wrong though but that's how it tends to usually work.

im concerned if the place where it is delivered changes anyth in warranty terms...

Once again, call them up. You're not going to get a clearer answer here.

The warranty is world-wide as far as I know.

Whenever I called them up, they tried to be useful even though clueless at times... most times but they should give you a straight answer for this, it's not a hard question.

If you don't want to phone them you can always use the live chat on the site.

Yes the warranty is worldwide, we know that but it's a problem because you always have to ship it back to the branch that you bought it from. Hence, if he buys it from the UK site/branch, all his returns would be to that branch specifically.

@OP - Email the roswell crew or something. That way you have their OFFICIAL statement on "paper" so you can force them to honor what they wrote to you. Either that or you could file a lawsuit :)

Paper trails are how to do it. Trust me man, just ask via email and save the email that you get from them.
