    Hey guys,

I just noticed a light leak during a game so I stuck a black wallpaper on and there is a light leak along the top of the screen. It comes down about 3cm in the middle then gets smaller and smaller either side of the screen. It does make the black look non uniform, the rest of the screen is lovely and sharp too  is this normal? It is only noticable on black as far as I can see (bit of a fan of the old space games )

    Cheers,
    Joe

    Hi joseph.s.jones01,
If you're referring to the white light bleed, that's fairly normal (and most visible in the blacks).

    Thanks,
    Gabe

The bleeding is normal for that screen, however if you have a it in the middle and it's wide and noticeable in games - I'd call support and get it replaced.

    Hi joseph,

I have the same thing on my M15x, it is normal, but keep tab on it, if it grows bigger, then call it in and get it replaced, I did. For some reason it grew in size, possibly due to how I pack in the laptop inside my backpack, it could have been squeezed at one point. The way the screen is set up is there's a space between the LCD and glass cover, so it is not fully flushed. (that's what i think because i saw when the freshly installed screen was in place, there were no bleed at all at the top and bottom, then two hours later, there's a slight bleeding, it's all in the design, i think, giving the screen a breathing room? heat expandability? Idk, but it is normal :)) but if it really bothers you, you should call it in and get it replaced, so you can have peace of mind that it wasn't faulty in the first place. I agree, it's annoying tho.
