Thought I should create a new thread for this, I have an offer for 1 person that is looking to buy an alienware machine, I currently have a 30% discount on any machine I buy, 20% is stackable for me and the last 10% is the coupon everyone can use. The 10% does however override the instant savings e.g. if you select the high spec Alienware 18 with £300 savings, the coupon will overwrite that and make it about £350+ depending on the build.

I then have a further 20% off that will save a lot of £££. My offer is that if someone can provide me with a coupon better than the 10% available to everyone, such as 15% or 20% that can add on to my 20% then I can buy a machine for that person as well saving both of us more than 30% on each machine. I will be buying the machine in the next few days, if I can't find anyone I'll use the 30%.

In conclusion if you want more than 30% off your machine and have a coupon greater than 10% let me know so we can both save £££. I live in London and would prefer pickup. If I can't find anyone with better than 10% then I can offer anyone 20% off their machine, 10% would be for the hassle in paying for both machines and handling.

    Deadline is Monday!

Good offer, if I find anyone interested I'll refer them here. You could also post this on the NBR Marketplace.

Ooooooo - I've found a couple of codes that stack on line. the 10% one that works for everyone (overrides the automatic £300 savings) but I've also found a 7% one too that stacks with the 10% code to give me 17% off.

Maybe if you can add those to your 20% off coupon and they stack, we could get 37% off in total. It would be interesting to see if it works.

I have used the 10% you found and 2 other personal 10%, as far as i know more wont add on, the 7% doesn't stack I've tried that. Probably 3 maximum

Lol - never mind. I think we'll struggle to find an individual voucher greater than 10%......I will keep looking though. I'd probably only be interested if I could personally come out of it with 30-35% anyway, and by the sounds of it, you wanna charge 10% for doing the transaction which makes it not very attractive from the second person's side....

Yup. We don' get 20% or 30% off mystery vouchers in EMEA territory, which is a real shame. Dell seem to only offer the 'good stuff' to the US or Canada. Don't think I've ever seen Dell UK offer anything over 10%.....

In fact, with a bit of hunting about, I can get 20% off on my own.....still not enough off to make me wanna jump.

A day left before I order it, a very good offer potentially 35%+ off an Alienware rig, very hard to beat that in the UK!

Yeah, but aren't you wanting 10% from the second person as a 'payment for services rendered?' - kinda makes the deal not so sweet for them at around 20-25% .... very sweet for you though at what then becomes around 40-45%.....

It's a kind gesture, but I'm out on this one......good luck with it - at least you will end up with 30%, which is very nice indeed for the UK. Congrat's on your forthcoming order!

I'll shoot you a PM with a way to get a 10% code. You may have already tried it, but it does stack with the 10% off code that everyone can use right now, so it gives me 20% off. If you can stack it with your others, you might get 40%.....worth a try.

What is the 10% code that everyone can use?

How do people get the other 'personal' codes? I've never been sent any discount codes from Dell. Toying with the idea of upgrading, if I could find a 20% discount that may well swing it (well at least I might be able to convince the wife!)

Might as well let anyone in on how to get 20% off right now. Bear in mind, this works in the UK, not sure about the US or elsewhere....here goes:

Firstly, there is currently a 10% off voucher floating about which will get you 10% off the total cost of your machine - the bigger the order, the more discount. One drawback is that using this code now over-rides the discount on line, so, if you wanna make it worthwhile, have a big order....eg. a loaded 18 would remove the £300 on line discount, but would replace it with 10% of the order value, which could be up to £460 off instead.

This voucher is valid until 31st October 2013, here it is: Q6SGF8D9WN7BSX

Secondly, head on over to Dell to join up as a VIP customer. You can do so here: Dell VIP - Discounts for members | Dell UK - once you have joined up, Dell will email you with TWO 10% discount codes. You can only use one of these, unfortunately they cannot be combined.

Finally, head on over to configure your machine. At the checkout, look for the box to paste in your two codes from the above steps and BINGO! 20% off your order.

One last thing, you can also get another £20 off by entering yet another code for free shipping. That code is: 2PL909CZP2WMV4 but expires on 23rd October.

So, there you have it. Nice saving to be had if you are looking to buy right now. Worth looking at if you are in the market.....

Hope that has helped anyone looking to save a few quid.

    Regards,
    Steve. :D

The offer was if you find more than 10% individual coupon then we both get the 35%+, but if you can't find anything more then I can give you 20%, 10% handling fees for me to pay for the extra comp first. Well because its hard to find higher than a 10% individual coupon I will be willing to reduce the fees to 5%, this also depends if I have enough to pay for both.

No worries, mate. Happy to help. Kinda reminds me of my old "Money Saving" days here on NBR: http://forum.notebookreview.com/ali...-aw-system-accessories-please-contribute.html

Yeah, I hear ya. Unfortunately, I think we're stuffed for finding anything larger than 10% right now....like trying to find rocking horse poop. Therefore, whilst your kind and generous offer is attractive, it's clear from my above post that 20% is achievable right now without your kind assistance. If you can't find anything else, that means 30% max, less your 'fee' of 5% bringing it down to 25% for the 'other guy'.

Don't get me wrong, that's still nice....however if the other guy then has to drive down to London or pay shipping to actually get their machine, that soon eats into that small 5% difference between going direct to Dell and your generous offer.

I hope you are able to find some way to make it a larger discount....I highly doubt it would work though....maybe if you went through TopCashBack or Quidco or something, there might be a bit more saving to be made..... http://www.topcashback.co.uk/dell/ @ 5.25% or http://www.quidco.com/dell/ @ 7%

Yea this was before I realised anyone can get the VIP discount, probably isn't worth the hassle for the extra 5% I guess unless you live close by.

Why not check out Quidco - if you can use your 30% and personally get another 7% cashback, that'd be sweet!

It won't meet their T&C because its an EPP purchase, same applies for topcashback i believe although itll be worth testing them anyways lol, I do use topcashback and have earned well over £200 through them, good for any online shopping. If you decide to register go through this link please, they also keep you up to date with coupons.
Top CashBack Official Site - The UK's #1 CashBack Site

I believe there may be a way to get an additional 8% off through NUS but their method is to put NUS EPP as the company name at checkout which doesn't actually impact the price before you pay for it so im not sure how you get the 8% back.

Will do if I join TCB.

Not sure how the NUS EPP discounts get paid - as I'm not a student, I've never looked into that side of buying.

I'll just add it and hope for the 8%, between quidco and TCB I believe there is a much better tracking rate with TCB, I acrually did get £147 cashback from my Alienware 17 but it takes about 2 months before it's payable, and I'm returning the machine so I don't know if it will still process.

Yeah, hopefully...in the meantime, the more people vote on Ideastorm, the better. I have known Dell to ignore issues before and not rectify them.....it would not surprise me if the same happened again.....but hopefully not. I guess that is why there is a degree of wariness about ordering for many - myself included somewhat.
