Hey guys been lurking and reading the posts for a few weeks in anticipation of getting my M17.

Little question, and I am quite embarassed to ask... Where is my serial number?!?!? there is no sticker on the bottom of the laptop with windows key, just a black stick saying "Alienware M17 R1". I've tried Belarc Advisor but no luck there as you can see below:

    System Model
Windows Vista Home Premium (x64) Service Pack 1 (build 6001) Alienware M17 W841.B10
    System Serial Number: 0123456789012345
    Chassis Serial Number: 0123456789012345
    Enclosure Type: Other

Looking to get some insurrance and need the SN for this. Tried Chatting with a guy at Alienware called John L. who said hello and nothing more.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

The PC number should be located under the battery. Let us know.

    Cheers for the replies guys,

I'm guessing the SN will be the number printed on the white Alienware marked sticker starting: PC-E******A? does that look about right?

Cheers for the program Mr Moo, it did indeed find the windows key... and funny enough its the same as the one under the battery!

Yes, that would be your system's serial number.
