I dont have all the original DVD's or access to the have support files.

    I'm guessing I need the

    "m17x_lighted_keyboard.zip"

because I remember at one point having to patch the m17x_RIPLEY_Model.exe. And by reading that I guess I must have installed the one that doesnt have the lighting registry entries. :\

Can anybody lend me a hand and possibly get this for me?

all of this talk about m17x's... they should have named it something else.

Sort of redundant having two laptops out that have the same name.

I know the m17x v1 is the "Area 51 m17x". But even AW doesnt differentiate between the two.

sort of lends itself to confusion if you ask me. They're just asking for it.

the capital "M" is what separates the 2 models

Also your m17x is called the Area 51 m17x

    Our's is called the M17x

I've still had no luck with these.

I need the lighted keyboard patch... and a BIOS update if it's available.

Or if somebody knows if I can get a factory BIOS and just completely reflash the system to wipe out the corrupted keyboard settings and reinstall them.
