    Im looking into getting a few upgrades..

    I have the old Area 51 m17x, not the brand new one.

    I think I read 9800m was the highest this laptop could handle SLI.

    You would be correct

    the 8800m GTX is the exact same as the 9800m GT so if you can find that cheaper it would be a good idea
