With the lack of selling options I may be keeping the M17x that they are sending me as a replacement for my M1730. I am kinda looking forward to loading FSX and my X52 flight sticks and getting some cockpit time in. The last true gaming machine I built was about 4 years ago. I think it had a socket 939 AMD and an ATI X1800XT with 512MB on board memory.
Wonder how much better FSX and other games will run on this. Time to start digging in and see what this thing is capable of.

Dude, my m17x plays fsx all on high and ultra high no problem, frame rates come and go depending on the aircraft im flying and where im at. it looks very nice.

I myself am also a big FSX fan so I decided to share with you my experience.
For the most part FSX plays fine all maxed out on the m17x (between 25 and 40 fps) but there is a big known problem with the 4870 cards (single and crossfire) and the fsx clouds (while anti-aliasing is on - both ingame or through the drivers). Anytime you have overcast clouds, the fps drops significantly to 5-7fps. I've tried all kinds of drivers and I've also tested it on R1 (qx9300) and R2 (920xm) with the same results (I have FSX Acceleration with the latest patches installed). Other than that, fsx runs pretty smooth when you have clear skys but it can get annoyingly slow once clouds appear.
Let's hope the 5870 cards won't have that issue.
Looks like I may be keeping the M17x
