Is this possible? I know that it is unlikely for it to "just work" so before I take the plunge has anyone else considered this?

I've got a friend that OSXed his netbook, so hopefuly theres a way to do it, if not then oh well. It's more curiosity then anything.

    Well, I own the software.

It's not legal to sell systems with it pre-installed, but since I purchased leopard AND snow leopard for my old used macbook that i bought and has since then died I'm not pirating anything...

It's not so different then the posts asking about installing XP on a Vista/Win7 laptop.

I guess it is right on the edge in terms of the forum rules though so i'll leave this one alone unless one of the mods posts otherwise.

Our videocard is still pretty rare in terms of use in other machines, let alone in a mac.. so I'm afraid not..

Actually the Intel graphics wouldn't be, it already works on HP systems with the Intel 4500HD but it would be the Wifi card I would be unsure of. Best thing is to try it out on another hd in the computer. See what OSX has driver wise. But, yeah, you wont get the Nvidia to work.

Did you buy it separate? If it's not already installed on another system, then you're right. In itself it is not illegal to install it on non-Mac hardware

edit: scratch that, Apple EULA simply says it is not allowed to install Leopard and/or Snow Leopard on any non-Apple system.
