I was curious to see how many people are having this problem and if they believe it is a big deal. I've read around the forums that people do mention it, but I wanted to see if this is a lot of people or just a few. I was also wondering if I should be concerned, because I am.

The slightest movement of the laptop makes my hinge click. When I am typing with the m11x on my lap, it clicks... :( I feel like its going to fail eventually.

You can try pressing down along the length of the Power button panel. Make sure its completely snapped into place.

If that does not correct it, contact Dell Support - they can determine what needs to be replaced and dispatch a tech to resolve it.

If you are hearing clicking noises typing, this is not normal.

Or (if you're 100% confident) try disassembling the system and tighten the LCD panel screws and and make sure everything is perfectly tight-sealed and see if it helps.

i'd highly advise against this one. Not only would you probably void your warranty, but this will surely accelerate the problem if there's something much more sinister going on..

recalling the original m15x hinge issues... *shudder*

Thanks guys. I probably will email them eventually. Haha. I would never open up this thing. I open up my Lenovo, but that's a different story.

The creaking noise is coming from the plastic piece on the screen assembly. I tried pushing it together to see if it would click, but it doesn't. It seems like it doesn't completely hold together.
