    M11X Downclocking Issue

    Hi,

    I recently bought an m11x which I am very happy with apart from one thing. When I am playing games it runs fine then suddenly the fan goes into over drive and the game starts to stutter for about ten seconds, then goes back to playing it smoothly. I am using stock drivers and the nvidia GPU anyone have any ideas?

    What game? AC or battery (or both)? Happens consistently at the same point in the game or at random? Any other games having issues? Have you been monitoring temps? Try exiting out of the game at time of increased fan activity and note current temp.

    It is most games, on AC, random times in the game normally when the detail gets higher like a quick scene etc. I am not monitoring temps but I will later when I get home. I will try installing some new drivers if I can find some as well

    sounds like an overheat issue. I certainly haven't had anything like this.
