What exactly is the chip for the sound system in M11X? Just now I am listening to online radio and the base is very heavy, the amplifier sounds doing a very good job.

I'm not sure if this may apply to you (because different countries may use different sound cards for M11x), but my M11x has a Realtek 5.1 internal sound system (according to my components' invoice)...

Sorry, I don't have much more info than that...

My Mx11 has a Realtek ALC665 audio codec.

Realtek has a datasheet with all the details of the ALC665 5.1 channel HD audio codec

In the document I read that the ALC665 does not support Modem/HDMI/Vendor groups and power state widgets.

The ALC665 supports host/soft audio from the Intel ICH series chipset, and also from any other HDA compatible audio controller.

The mic port can be used for both input and output.
This gives the potential for three discrete output sources.

I ran the audio through an ONKYO 7.1 receiver and was able to get the test 'bing-bong' to identify the font, center, SW and LR surround speakers (5.1).

Anyway, I'm still wondering how many people listen to music in a sewer pipe. :)

Just now, I am playing some MP3 music with Windows Media, I don't have that impressive sound quality as I did when I played one of the 3D games on my hard drive.

Guess HD is not supporting the MP3 music from the player.

I'm guessing you've had a bit of a fiddle with the Realtek HD Audio Manager.
Should be located within the control panel > Hardware and Sound.
Even with the speaker config. stereo option you still have a few options within the SRS tab.
Loudness Equalization within Sound Effects gives things a boost.

if you're using windows media player for radio and stuff, go to the equalizer options and turn SRS WOW off.
