I used my M11x plugged into my tv via HDMI today for the first time. All was going well until I unplugged it and the lappy froze. I force re-started it and basically lost everything. The wireless and sound drivers didn`t work and all USB ports didn`t work. I tried lots of things, system restore, un-installing programs etc, but to no avail. I called tech support but just sat on hold for a very long time. In the end I did a complete factory restore, and it worked. Now I have to download all my games again, bah, but at least I have sound & everything again.
Has anyone else experienced this yet? Was I too hasty?

How do you "lose" drivers lol. Actually yesterday I had a lock up on my M11x that I don't think could get any worse. It locked up to the point that even the power button wouldn't shut it off. I had to unscrew the base plate and unplug the battery from the mother board. Not my idea of fun but my screw driver was sitting two feet from me. Then I repeated the steps to see if it did it again. Sure enough it did. Note: Do not hit "GetFSB" in SetFSB. lol Unless you want to test it yourself...

If you "lose" your drivers (?!) but your internet connection works, you can log in to Dell support website using your computer service tag and download all drivers, BIOS, etc.
