I finally realized the true capabilities of M11X. The game is Strike Fighter Project 1 Before overclock, the frame rates are between 24 ~ 27. After overclock, they increased to 32 ~ 34!! Anything well above 29 is good enough for me. This laptop is amazing!!! More importantly, the battery still lasted for an hour.

The only killer is the "smoke". Anything which models particle system bleeds the frame rate counter. Hope there will be sort of fixes in the future.

I hoping software OC'ing will allow for a 2.0Ghz clock.. I really don't think thats unrealistic

I've left my M11X OC'd for 30 whole minutes while playing Crysis Warhead (all medium settings 800x600) and it had 31fps average (low: 22; high: 51)...

I never seen it (or sniff) smoke other than the heat on the lap around 40 degrees (celcius)...

    Best of all, No bluescreen...

ZOMG - the M11x smokes! I knew it was a bad apple the minute I laid eyes on it :)

I bet it stays out late all night and has a sassy mouth too!

You may be right! I brought up a question about the overclocking option in another thread. Actually I was expecting, after enabling the overclock option in the BIOS, CPU-Z will say 1.7GHz but it never does!! However, by running something like a flight simulator, the frame rate reports never cheats and reflects the CPU performance vigorously. In my case, it did and I can confirm that the core was doing at a speed higher than the default speed.

I can only say it could have been a software overclock or else CPUID would not have reported no change in the CPU core speed.

Whenever sharing positive experience like yours, I can't help to say to myself "you have got the right laptop". I have been researching for more than 20 days before I place the order just because there are damn too many bloody brands out there even talking about the same size 11 inch laptop/netbook. I was nearly inclined to the latest and newest LG X200 which is adorable also. Light in size and it actually has 2 power buttons one for Windows the other one is for LG's written Linux in case the Windows Partition fails to boot. This is innovative above all, it has the most stylish design and look which I can only use the word handsome to describe. And then the quite popular Acer 1810 which claims to have battery life over 8 hours long. But I never had the chance to check out the real thing on Acer's Energy Department.

But then where on earth at this point in time can you get an 11" laptop which you can play Crisis Warhead at not Low settings but Medium settings? And add to that The East India Company at default settings without lag? I haven't load it up with Far Cry 2 and Alone in the Dark 5 yet, but I'm pretty sure they all will play well, perhaps the only question is how long the battery lasts when playing these games without plugging in the AC Adapter.

This little thing is amazing isn't it?
