    alienware M11x questions ahead ::

    I see that NVIDIA released driver set v197.13 beta yesterday (3/17/2010), can I use that driver on my windows x64 home premium OS?? :confused:
    (I see that this page lets you select PRODUCT SERIES = GeForce 300 series, and PRODUCT = GeForce GT 330, but Im not so sure that is right, as the M11x has the GeForce GT 335M)

    also, when one launches internet explorer that comes with the M11x it opens the page http://support.alienware.com/Support_Pages/Support_Area.aspx automatically, but upon clicking Drivers & Downloads link, there is no option/seclection for the "Alienware M11x"?? so my question becomes, WHERE do I go to get alienware M11x driver support on the alienware website?

    would some kind soul please shed some insight into these matters? thanks much!

    If you use the driver you'd likely need a modified INF, laptopvideo2go will have them.

    You will more than likely lose the use of graphics card switching without rebooting, though.

    I'd stay away from non-stock/non-dell drivers. They not only killed my ability to FN+F6 toggle the GPU (I had to do it from the system tray) but they killed my battery life - even on Intel graphics (even if i restarted the system with intel enabled) I wouldn't get more then 3 hours battery life.

    Yeah I went back to stock/Dell drivers after the Dox driver raised my temperatures by more than 5 degrees at idle and locked up while in Madden 08...Madden 08!

    so i'm guessing using the Non-dell NVIDIA driver will lose the Fn +F6 features?
