Firstly MY motherboard is defunct. I can't charge it and everytime i try to connect it disconnects me and everyone around me gets booted from the network until i shut down.

also alienware is almost refusing to refund me for this. I see alot of problems happening with this laptop and I just want to wait a while before i get another one. also I recieved mine on the 11th of march so am I not within my 21 days?
also ive gotten bounced back and forth between customer care and tech support. tech support confirmed faulty motherboard and customer care says they do not have any info on my talking with tech support, even if i give them the refrence number. I know they want money but must they pull this third grade crap?

The 21 days starts from the day they ship it, so check your ship date. If you are still under 21 days and you have the reference number of your tech call, call customer service again and be polite, but firm and tell them you need to return your defective laptop. If they will not then ask for their supervisor and keep going up the chain until they help you. The reps are so hit or miss these days so if you get one that's rude and unhelpful, call again for someone new.

    Good luck...

Man I've tried polite. and they just keep disconnecting me or bouncing me around. Currently I think I'm talking to a supervisor but I doubt this really is one.

Did you pay by credit card, like Visa? Give the number on the back of the card a call and start a dispute if calling Dell gets you nowhere. Give them as many details as you can and see if that will get Dell's attention...

Oh yeah that's a good idea. That WILL get their attention. I have mostly really good experiences with my bank (Citibank) when doing that. They gave me some "off-the-record" advices what do to. Hint: threatening with a law suit helps (I wasn't really going to do it of course...) :D , the money was returned at time when supposedly no one was even working at that company I had dispute with, within 2 hrs of my e-mail on Sunday noon. :)

Ughhh I hope my M15x isn't like this when I get it.. Thankfully I work for Apple care so I understand how it works works on the other side of the phone. CR is supposed to be there to satisfy the customer anyway they possibly can it sounded like you just got a bunch of agents that hate their job and took it out on you.

Ask for the rejection in writing so you can give it to your CC company to initiate a chargeback. You really shouldnt need to jump through any hoops, if it doesnt work, they need to replace or refund. If they won't initiate a return, hey, I guess they do not want it back, so just talk to your CC, show them the return policy and their non adhering response, and get your money back.
