Im starting this thread to help people get the best deal on the M11X. Since all the coupons and promotions have ended as of the 4th, and the EPP site has been updated, this thread will be for people to find out what the best way to get a good deal on the M11X is. If you have an experience purchasing it or any information on the best way to get a good deal then please post and let us know. Now, also in addition to this, i want to hear what people say what the machine itself is worth.

    1. Post the Date you ordered
    2. Post your configuration
    3. Post the price you paid not including taxes
    4. Post any special discounts or coupons you used

Ok, today i have talked to 3 reps via Dell EPP Chat. All will not budge on giving EPP pricing on a different configuration then what is posted on the EPP site. I told them that i didn't want to pay $80 extra for the McAfee antivirus, and that i wanted a smaller hard drive. Also, i have one of the EPP $50 off coupons that they said reached maximum limit last week. The thing is though, my coupon doesn't say anything about being limited in anyway. All it says is that it expires the 30th of June. Hopefully Dell will change the site or put out some more coupons in the next couple of weeks. I don't think this machine is worth $1000 for what most people will use it for. I don't mind paying 700-850, i just want to get the best deal possible.

This poll is a little hard to do considering there's many options that can be configured. I think a better poll would be how much of a discount did you get.

This is a great idea. However, not knowing each person's individual specs and configuration, what they paid becomes an invalid point.

I only got the CPU upgrade (wish i got the HDD upgrade instead..) and it came out to 762.93$ or around that. If I didn't get the CPU upgrade it would have been 650+$!
    I had a -189$ total discount (-89$ for EPP, -50$ for registering coupon, -50$ under 999$)

I don't think i can change the poll. Anyway, yes i should have done the discount instead. The main point here is how can people get the best deal now that everything on the EPP site has changed and there are not any current valid coupons.

When i saw this thread i was wondering what was up with the M11x. The answer is the price.

I'm sure glad i got mine when i did. I paid 860ish and got all the decent upgrades. It looks like AW is locking EPP customers into thier highest profit config so they can make a few extra $$....

I picked up a Kingston SSDnow V+ 128gb hd today that i think will be going into this unit. :)

I paid 1800 maxed out with everything including a 4year premium warranty
That's after about 3-4 hundred worth of discounts. Could I have got a 15x, sure, but i prefer smaller laptops, and this will make the perfect companion for my Sony vaio TT!

Does anyone have coupons/cashback etc... that still work for a significant amount?

Also, is it possible to return something like the M11x to Dell without a restocking fee? I might need to purchase a laptop earlier than I wished for travel, and I have some serious misgivings about the CPU of the M11x. I'll give it a good honest try for my trip, but I don't want to pay a restocking fee if I find that it doesn't meet my needs and need to return it?

Is the poll before tax and shipping or final cost?

    Which config?

I was a little late in getting to the party, as I could not get the $50 and $100 coupons to stack, nor could I get the 3% DPA account.

I still ended up with a deal I can live with: SU7300, 4GB, 250GB, BT and 1-day shipping for $885 after tax.

12 months 0% financing makes it easy to buy these nonessential toys. ;)

They upped my limit to $6K though, so I have to be careful about going too nuts...

Yea, im still looking for a good price. I dont want to pay over 900 for SU7300, 4GB, 250hd, and Bluetooth. Hopefully some coupons will come out.

Current minimum configuration on the EPP site is $1069 not including taxes. That is too much if you ask me. Hopefully they will go back to the minimum configuration like the Dell home site. Wishful thinking i guess.
