Can you attach the dump file please? Can't say anything based on this.
-
thsi would be where?
-
Ah, the one you posted in the text:
C:\Windows\Minidump\032710-20935-01.dmp -
yes i found it now how do i atatch it, i dont have a program to read it for some reason and cant see an attach button in the advance reply section, sorry iam a bit crap at this
-
When you post here, like clicking on Reply (don't use Quick Reply if you want to attach files), then scroll down and below the box where you write reply, there is an option to attach files. Oh and zip it (or rename the extension to .txt).
-
Acces denied
i'll keep tryni9g
-
ZIP the file, the forum uploader here only accepts certain file types.
-
Yes iam trying to Zip it with winzip but it wont let me read it form the file keeps saying acces denied and junk
-
Aha, it's trying to create a ZIP file within your Windows folder, so it fails. Copy the minidump file somewhere else out of windows\minidumps, like on the desktop. Then ZIP it. Sorry, it's been a while since I've done this... got a little bit rusty.
-
Ok so i moved the file to desktop same problem access denied so i installed win-rar instead still same problem, im sorry for this next bit but, what a load of retarded why would ms impliment a crash dump report if u cantr even open and read it?
-
Finally got it to work, here you go mate.

Hmm for me it works perfectly. Did you try just renaming it to .txt ?
Or... This this. Run winzip or winrar by rightclicking it's icon and choose Run As Administrator. Then ZIP the file...
EDIT: Still don't see the file lol... -
Tryt this one its a .txt
-
Ok thats a .txt and the original

Doesn't look very good:
Blue screen is caused by the Windows Kernel ntoskrnl.exe, this is from the dump file:
ntoskrnl.exe
ntoskrnl.exe+33c3d9
fffff800`0320c000
fffff800`037e9000

It seems it's related to the graphic drivers ( http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms793232.aspx) . When does blue screen happen? Can you reproduce it?
Did you install any drivers? Try putting Dell graphic drivers, see what happens. -
it just happens randomply, ive left the comp on youtube playing music and it willk just BSOD, im pretty sure im using the dell driver also i'll re-install them i guess
i recently had the mobo re-placed form dell also a tech came to my house.... hope its not another call out
-
If it's a fresh windows install, with Dell drivers then there isn't much that you can do. It's most likely the hardware error in that case. Yeah call them, and ask for the replacement not repair.
Sorry, I don't think there's anything we can do if the hardware is malfunctioning, and it most likely is in this case. -
Bubbles,
Have you tried a factory restore? If not, do so and see if the BSOD persists. If it does not, then you know the hardware is fine and the fresh install was the cause. Wouldn't be the first case of a clean install of Windows having issues. It happens on occasion. Sometimes you just have to start again.
I also suggest changing the error reporting settings to log a full dump rather than a mini-dump since you are having issues. We can analyze both. If you encounter the BSOD again, PM me and we'll take a closer look.
To change to a full dump, follow this process:
Open up the System Control Panel
Left Side Bar - Advanced System Settings
Advanced Tab
Startup & Recovery - Settings
Select 'Kernel Memory Dump' from the pull down menu under 'Write Debugging Information'
Select OK and close all windows -
If you want to keep playing with it, there are 2 more things:
1.) Check RAM. Windows comes with it's own tool called Windows Memory Diagnostic. Here's how to run it: http://www.mydigitallife.info/2009/...s-7-and-vista-with-windows-memory-diagnostic/
2.) Get more detailed memory dump with "verifier". Run as Administrator -> Command Prompt. Type "verifier /flags 1 /all", then reboot and try to produce another BSOD. This will monitory driver handling in the memory a bit better, and may pick up something else messing up with memory. To reset the verifier, just type "verifier /reset" afterwards.
