    Ok, My question is this:

    Is all I have to do to Overclock my CPU is to change the one setting in the BIOS from Disabled to Enabled?

    And if so, I did that, and my laptop maybe stays on for a minute before it just shuts down and reboots.

    So how do I OC, or what is wropng with my CPU?

    Thanks :)

    @steven

    That doesn't sound good. You are correct, that will OC to 1.60/1.73 but it shouldn't reboot. One of the first owners of the M11x had a similar problem where everything would work fine until he OC his system through bios and he would soon get a BSOD. This was last thursday/friday, and through the forums, it was unresolved and he eventually gave up and was going to return it/exchange it to dell.

    You have a 21 day thing return policy through Dell so hopefully everyone here can troubleshoot with you. So far there was only 1 defective system prior to you posting this. Your's is a bit different than the first one, though, so hopefully the issue can be identified! Did you get a BSOD or did it just reboot?

    Hmm, thanks for the reply.

    Also, after I oc'd when I ran cpuz it still said I was running U7300 @ 1.3Ghz.
    I would of thought I would of said 1.6, or 1.73, maybe I'll take a closer look at others screen shots.

    @steven

    I'm pretty much 100% sure that you only need to enable OC in the bios to overclock the beast. There aren't any additional steps.

    I don't know than. I would be surfing and it would just bsod on me, after disabling OC I have not had any problems.

    I played a few games before I oc'd, MW1 and MW2. I must say I wasn't overly impressed with the performance, but then maybe it is because I am used to playing on my desktop.

    Other then that, All I have done is installed programs and games, I haven't messed with any settings, so no clue why it would be bsoding me. I'm hoping I didn't get a lemon.

    when you overclock you overclock the ram also. I was thinking that your ram doesnt have enough room for the overclock. I would try 1 stick at a time. testing this way for both sticks. to see if its stable. 1 stick may be holding it back.

    the best way would be to buy a pair of so-dimm ddr 3 1066 memory and try that, but its an added expense with unknown results.
