I connected my m11x to my 1080p projector through hdmi on my denon receiver. Everything works great when using the desktop to browse the internet and I watched a netflix movie which also worked great. However when I tried to play a game through Steam on it I could not get a picture to show up. I could hear sound but no picture. I was trying to play Dragon Age. Has anyone had a similar problem when using a projector or other external display?

Same problem with other external displays? Seems strange if picture before a game.

It could be becasue the projector doesn't support the Res that you're playing at, I had this on my M17x it would let me surf the net and everythiing but as soon as i went to play a game it had to be dropped to something more 'Normal' (1024x768),

It happend to me becasue when i plugged in the projector it defaulted to a lower and supported resolution but when i went to run a game it tried to force it to run at the previous resolution (My Native When on the LCD).

    Give that a try.

thanks for the suggestion! That is what it was. I had to go into the game itself on my laptop and set the games resolution to one of my projectors native resoulutions (720p). I wish there were a way to force a game to default to the resolution set by the desktop. thanks for the help. :)

There may be a way to force resolutions via the shortcut to the game like "xxx.exe -h 768 -w 1024", That might be an option, have a shortcut for when using the projector and one for when you're just on the laptop. :D
