Ive seen the question asked but not answered. Just to make sure, will a laptop with a Killer Bigfoot wireless network card work successfully with WiDi? Im thinking about buying a 1103 card with my m11x r3 which is working well with the Belkin screencast to my hdtv.

    Thanks in advance!

You can find your answers here :)

WiHD has far more stable signal, less lag and higher bandwidth. You can use your computer while streaming to the tv!

    WiDi is cheaper.

    I just got a pstv2000 and am having a helluva time getting this working with my m17xr3 i7 2720qm, amd 6970, ultimate-n 6300
Ive tried numerous drivers, updated just about everything, and the same problem persists.
It connects for a few seconds, then disconnects and says "unable to send desktop to remote display".
Ive tried most everything I can think of. Help a brother out!?

a little thread revival... did you try moving the P2TV2000 in a different place? I was getting disconnected alot until I simply moved it to the otherside of the TV. there might be too much interference.

    Hey guys,

I'm getting my Alienware M17xR4 soon with a Ivy Bridge 3610QM processor, 7970M HD GFX and the Killer 1103 3x3 wireless card.

If I install all the necessary software with downloads and buy the WiDi adapter from one of the few manufactures that make them would I be able to run WiDi? The Dell/Alienware website mentions nothing of it and I don't think Alienware have any "stickers" on them.

Appears it's impossible to find an answer. Can't see any definitive answers on Google either.
