    M15X Back From Repair

    i have just today took a suprise delivery at the door. yes, my m15x is back from repair!! a week earlier than expected too!! i have recieved no contact from them since i sent it in, although i did ring to enquire last week, to be told it would be the end of the month due to some delay. which makes it even more surprising that its back early!!

    my initial inspection had shown that all the laptops casing has been changed, not just the cracked alienhead panel. there is the plastic sticky covers on the bottom and what appears to be an all new name plate down there too. the lcd panel also seems to have been upgraded with new hinges, as there is now absolutely no creaking at all, at it seems alot more stable. so it appears i have the "new" chasis in place. there is still a little bit of give in the lower right of the keyboard, but even that seems better. i might be getting a little carried away but the whole thing seems a lot more sturdy.

    so, my first experience with sending my laptop back has appeared to be pretty fruitful!! and i have to say im pretty happy to have it back, and in much better condition than when it left. AW, you have impressed me, thankyou.

    now i just have to decide whether to reinstall vista 64 and windows 7. i completely wiped it all and reinstalled everything as it was when i first recieved it before i sent it back, as they said they would recalibrate it.

    but overall, i am indeed very happy. :D

    whoo! Glad to hear you had a good experience. Mine was alright (long long phone call and then two weeks without my lappy) but they fixed it for free and threw in a windows upgrade and 3 years of antivirus

    If I should ever have to send my M17 in, I hope my experience would be similar.
