M15X all powerful benchmarks

i don't own a m15x but i want to see some benchmarks to see what the I7 can do

 

what nobody do benchmarks with the new m15x ?:confused2:

 

If you comb through the M15x owners lounge there are some.. But you gotta do some digging to find them

He had an extra 280m so he installed it into the m15x to run some tests , he had benchmarks for both the 260 and 280 to give you an idea of what each card would do inside the machine ..

280?! That's awesome, I wonder if Dell have any plans to release the m15x with the 280, would make it an awesome portable power house. Can't imagine the battery life would go to well though...

 

It saddens me that most people that already have their hands on the M15x are not actively posting benchmarks, etc. It doesn't take long, and gives us a general idea of what to expect. Shouldn't have to comb through an entire thread looking for the odd 3dmark06 or vantage benchie. I guess some people don't realise how helpful it can be for others, especially since it's a huge investment for some financially and we'd like to see what it can do.

260M = 4876
280M = 5263

So you're looking at a ~8% increase in performance.

Roxy shows 4539 with the 260M and a 720qm
Sleep shows 4876 with a 260M and a 820qm

 

i did a benchmarkw iht 3dvantage when the laptop arrive, however I don't know whether they are good or not so here goes

5644 3DMarks
CPU Score 10706
GPU 4875

The problem however is I did this test on balance mode, not sure if it made a difference, when it showed my GPU it said GTX 170M for some reason. I'll do another benchmark later when I have time.

Also, what kind of programs do you use to test the heat generated on you're laptop?

 

It showed GTX 170m when I did my test too ._.

 

With the latest graphics drivers from Nvidia's own site, I get 11536 in 3d Mark 06.

 

wondering where to get the graphic card? sleey0 where u get those graphic card? where can i buy it? and also where can i get the corei7 820QM/920XM?

I can't get any benchmarks to work im a newbe at working them.

I have the 720 and a 260 but im running windows 7 so i wounder what difference if any that will make..

 

I'm getting mine on Wednesday so I'd probably run some benchmarks as well.

Are most people using Dell's drivers or using the Nvidia's drivers?

 

I got a slight performance increase by switching to the NVidia drivers.

 

For anyone looking for M15x i7 720qm with 260m benchmarks, I get a reliable 3dMark06 11,100 or so depending on settings.

 

The gtx 280m can't compare to a ati mobility 5870. There are two people in this forum that had install it in the M15x. I will received mine tomorrow and hopefully get it install by this weekend.
